Terms & Conditions

These terms apply to all bookings made with Torpedo Wash.
By booking a pickup, you agree to the following:

1. Service Description

Each Torpedo Bag is washed, dried and folded as one load at the temperature you select (30°C or 40°C).
We do not separate colours, whites, delicates or special-care items.
Please pack your bag accordingly.

2. Bag Policy

You will receive a fresh Torpedo Bag for each pickup and for each return delivery.
We do not reuse bags for hygiene reasons.

3. Payment

Payment is taken at pickup by:

Cash
Contactless card

All prices listed include collection and same-day return within DT3 and DT4.

4. Same-Day Guarantee

If we fail to return your clothes the same day, your wash is free.

The only exception is if the customer is not available at the agreed delivery time.

If severe weather, road closures, or unexpected equipment issues delay us, we will always honour the guarantee — these situations are our responsibility, not yours.

5. Liability

We take great care of every item.
However, Torpedo Wash is not responsible for:

Damage caused by items left in pockets (pens, tissues, coins, etc.)
Colour transfer caused by mixed loads
Pre-existing damage or wear
Items that cannot be safely cleaned at 30°C or 40°C

Please ensure your bag contains machine-washable clothing suitable for the temperature selected.

6. Lost or Missing Items

In the unlikely event of a missing item, we will investigate promptly.
Our liability is limited to the fair value of the item, capped at £40 per bag, in line with industry standards.

7. Cancellation

You may cancel your booking up to the time of pickup.
If we arrive and cannot collect due to no access or no response, we reserve the right to decline future bookings from that address.

8. Energy Transparency

Many wash cycles are powered by our solar-charged battery system.
Drying cycles use mains power as required.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time.
The latest version will always appear on our website.
