Torpedo Wash was created to make laundry simple, fast and brilliantly convenient for Weymouth residents.
Most services take 24 hours or more. Laundrettes still mean trips, queues, parking, waiting, juggling machines, and spending time you don’t really have.
We built something different:
A service that comes to your door, returns everything the same day, and keeps the price clear, fair and affordable - every single time.
Powered by real clean energy
Your wash is powered by lithium iron (LiFePOâ‚„) batteries that we charge using our floating marina-based solar array.
A single 10kWh battery can support 10–14 wash cycles, reducing grid use and lowering our footprint.
Drying cycles use sustainable mains power as required - no gimmicks or greenwash.
Just a practical approach to cleaner, smarter washing.
We also use premium detergents and long-lasting softeners as standard, never the cheap bulk products used in many laundrettes, so your clothes come back soft, fresh and beautifully clean.
About the Founder
Torpedo Wash was founded by Andre, named UK Climate Champion of the Year at Europe’s largest decarbonisation event (Unlock Net Zero Live).
With a background in innovation, sustainability and community development across Dorset, Andre built Torpedo Wash to be a genuinely useful, everyday service - combining convenience, quality and low cost with a practical approach to cleaner energy.
